Rosalie Village Cheese Carnivàle Community Arts Program 2007

The Carnivàle Day started with a children’s programme in Gregory Park. Children from Milton State School were assembled in the park to conduct the Carnivàle Cheese Parade, which was the climax of eight weeks preparation and training by three resident teachers funded by the Village to assist students in the programme.

The Carnivàle had a comprehensive multi-cultural theme involving the Brisbane South-American communities. This was organised by Mr Omar Pumar of Orisha International, who was also the team leader in student training at Milton State School.

The Event Manager and Festival Director was Ms Sharyn de Kort from Sharyn DK Event Management.
